We meet monthly on the 3rd Monday of most months, 7-9pm at Harry’s Hofbrau (390 Saratoga Ave., San José, 95129). Come at 6 p.m. to join us for dinner!
Who we are: The Santa Clara County Democratic Club has worked continuously since 1980 for values espoused by the Democratic Party: the right of all Americans to a job, a home, education, medical care, privacy, social security, and, of course, a woman’s right to choose.
We draw our membership from all over Santa Clara County, but most members live in San José, Santa Clara, and Campbell. The Club is an issues based organization, the only one in the County that makes its very highest priority the achievement of Public Financing of Elections!
We also work to achieve:
– Universal, single-payer health care
– The California Clean Money Campaign
– Move to Amend the Constitution to reduce the money in politics
As a club and as individual Democrats, we also spend time and resources:
– Electing Democratic candidates
– Supporting Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee
– Contributing to the California Democratic Council
If you’ve been looking for a home in the Democratic party, want to be more informed about the issues in the news, and want to help make change locally, we hope to see you at 7pm at Harry’s Hofbrau, the 3rd Monday of every month (with the exception of July, August, and December when we have special events — email president@DemocraticClub-SCC.org for more details.
